Run with the chums in the Quantocks (Holford again), near perfect sunny, windless (so not cold), low temp winters day (some remnant frost), super views.

Travel back from Sheffield, don't know if going to the swings with Evie really counts as training, However did push for a long time as swinging is clearly great fun, whether raining or not

Ran along the Derwent valley road with Laura and Evie. Still, sunny, day remarkable reflections in the lake, particularly of the larches. Took turns on pushing, suffice to say I have no plans to purchase a buggy to augment my training. Knee a bit sore at end -did not like tarmac?

Portbury run, started in loads of clothes but not that cold. Had to run quite hard, including the hills which were a bit of a struggle to do this time. Also helped as summer undergrowth has gone and not yet too wet. Not sure about knee, intend this week to be quite light

orienteering race 1:27:25 [4] 8.6 km (10:10 / km)

Devon gallopen at Haytor - mixture of hail, rain and bright sunshine ,ran in loads of layers. Most was ok although a bit disappointed at how quickly Chris ran away towards the end but some was rubbish, missed no 2, don't know how as went passed the boulder (- 5mins) missed 8, ran hard up the hill passed long knoll into depression but no flag, went away and looked elsewhere before coming back (-3 mins) and at 18 ran straight from 17 but in retrospect wrong direction and could not work in out. Not helped by weather being completely foul, eventually relocated on 21 and rest of race ok but 8mins lost. Don't know how I made so many big Horlicks in what should have been quite straight forwards, need much better concentration
