Very muggy day at Parkrun, especially after the turnaround when any wind was on your back. Happy with time given I had a sore hip during the week - held up well today and ran within my limits with plenty of gluten push-off happening. Max HR cannot be right as it suggest I am a 33 year old.

Left at 8 am on a forecast 40C day - too early for Peter who was walking his dogs. So peleton of 2 in and 4 home - felt very average as the heat and hot nights begins to take there toll. Coffee at 38 helped as well as riding behind Brad on the way home.

Headed early for the pines of Issacs Ridge on a forecast 39 C day - ran with Katie - felt OK for first 2 kms then stumbled a bit and hip was sore - this played up for most of run other than last 2 kms!. Also did about 1.5 kms of walking on the run after took a wrong turn and eded up at the top of the ridge. Despite these constraints it was nice to get out and do some running - albeit at a slow pace.

Walked with pooch and liz at Stromlo - got in the walk before the heat of the day - route took us pass the site were they are doing groundworks for a swimming pool complex - would be handy this week if it was done given tops of 40C forecast for mid week.

Sunday ride with Peter only - around the lake as usual - lots of people out and about so pretty slow thru central basin. Meant to be a recovery ride but probably rode too hard. 38 was too busy to stop there - tried another place nearby but coffee was bitter. Felt better on second part of ride which was probably the slight tail wind.
