To top of Stromlo with the pooch and back - shock , horror, the coffee shop does not open until 10am now - so had to forgo a coffee as arrived too early.
walking 37:48 2.0 km (18:54 / km) +100m 15:07 / km
Control collection for the O event near sin city - aka Queanbeyan. Heel still recovering so chose not to run. Map had lots of mountain bike tracks and was steep and ground hard (after so little rain) so was a wise decision to just collect controls.
road cycling 1:32:20 39.97 km (2:19 / km) +403m 2:12 / km
Peleton of 1 around LBG. Lots of people around central basin as nice sunny day - bit of a headwind going home. Refuelled at 38 Expresso at around the half way point.
MTB 1:28:13 22.26 km (3:58 / km) +331m 3:41 / km
Coffee ride to arboretum with a variation on the return - cold wind so nicer in the forest on the single tracks - peleton of 3 altho joined by Grant on part of the ride + a pooch. Couple of us recovering from the climb of Alpe dHuez last night!
MTB 31:00 8.58 km (3:37 / km) +131m 3:21 / km
Spin on Stromlo single tracks - covered a bit of extra ground as did not have to be home making cups of tea for Liz (who has gone to WA for a few days to see her mum).
ride with Peter 1:40:53 39.95 km (2:32 / km) +400m 2:24 / km
Peleton of 5 for LBG ride sans Peter who has gone away to escape the lovely Canberra weather - bit of a tail wind going to Kingston which meant a cruising speed of about 25 km per hour - faster than many of the tour de france riders I saw last night. Won the hill sprint so return to normal service. Covered most recent world events over coffee (largely footballl and cycling) so that did not take too long. Someone had a nice fake news article showing Neymar being called in to help rescue the Thai boys in the cave as he is a specialist diver.
MTB 29:30 +126m
Usual spin on single tracks at Stromlo - sunny but cold (as usual) with another frost overnight. Plenty of roos about near the single tracks - they did not move as I past nearby.
