Trail Run long (Hilly long run) 2:02:00 [4] 9.0 mi (13:33 / mi)

I drove nearly 2 hrs to find a dry hilly trail. It is very open so it got hot in the sun. I was slow at the start but I got better. Mostly I just had low energy so even my walking was slower than usual. Also my feet really hurt. I should have worn some HOKAs.

Hopefully everything is going good. I understand that American Airlines is bringing in more flights to Kalispell for the summer. That should really increase the traffic at the park.
We’ve had an eventful few weeks. Our youngest Boxer had to have a cancerous mass removed. It was pretty intrusive surgery but hopefully he got it all. The older Boxer has had fluid building up. It took 3 weeks to get his lungs clear and then he drained nearly 2 liters of fluid from his chest cavity and his heart is enlarged. He’s feeling much better but we’re worried about it reoccurring. And I’ve been to my rheumatologist enough times, he’s acting as my primary. One more visit before our trip and we will discuss how long he recommends I can hike the water in the Narrows. My voice is at 75%.
