Orienteering race 53:24 [4] 7.79 km (6:51 / km) +26m 6:44 / km
ahr:171 max:186

Venla Leg 2 for OK Linné team 3 (199).
Felt pretty calm in the changeover but then heard that Cecile was in 40th at the radio and started to feel a bit stressed/not prepared! Actually went out in 21st but glad I didn’t know that at the time. Tried to ignore the others around me on the way to 1 as I thought I would be gaffled. Expected to cross 2 big tracks after the open area but run further down than I though so only crossed 1. Not 100% sure going into 1 but tried to make the boulders fit. Ended up at a gaffle (73?) very close from mine but telnet started panicking and ran around like an idiot for 10mins. Relocated off the open (which failed) and then off #2.
After this disaster I tried to forget about it and really focus on the race/attacking the controls well. Managed to make up nearly 50 places from 169th at the first radio to 121st in the finish and only lost 4mins on the winner after the first radio.
Basically the issue was no solid attackpoint to 1 and then not stopping and properly relocating. Also trying to keep up with the top teams to the first control is not a good idea!! (Although a very cool experience) very disappointed at the finish, big apologies to the team and especially Cecile for an awesome first leg run! Team ended up 150th so we improved our bib placing:)

Running 6:46 [2] 1.04 km (6:30 / km)

Jukola finslip in south Lunsen. Not enough focus on the long leg to 10, ended up at 7 and then still didn’t find the control in the circle!
