Up early to explore the Hawkhills woods before breakfast, in lectures/practicals 9am-9pm this week so probably won't have time for much training. I can't leave the site but the woods are pretty big.
The site is mapped but I can't find the map anywhere :(

Harvester - Leg 5 (light)
Took 1 very carefully and nearly spiked it but couldn't see the crag so did a loop before coming back and spotting it. 2 and 3 ok, compass bearings for both off the the right. Rest of the open was fine, except a massive detour on 7, didn't realise how far down the slope it was.
Got to halfway at 10 at 45mins and started to feel pretty lacking in energy (had a banana at 4 and started at 6). Then did a 90' error and spent 20 mins on the wrong green hill and relocated off the car park...
After this I took the rest of the green section very slowly and the rest of the course was a bit of a struggle.
Luckily the time gaps were so big by the last leg that I didn't lose any places.
Very obvious from this run how bad my compass is at the moment, time for some practice!!
