The usual morning loop. Pushing a bit in the second half of it, but feeling the tired legs in the early climbs

Better race than last week, but blIghted by a couple of errors. Very good start, corrected a slight error on #2 by using the earth mound as a handrail. Caught the guy ahead at #3 and lead him all the way to #7. This is where the errors start:
#8 - took the direct route, but I think it would have been faster for me to go the long way round. I struggled up the slope and was also lagging for the next two controls, which allowed the others to get away (1-2 mins across this and following controls)
#12 - tried a direct route and got stuck in a jungle of brambles having veered off slightly (1-2 mins)
#13 - missread the control description area and was expecting it to be a lot flatter... was in the exact place but came back out to a clear attackpoint before going Baecker in. Must have lost about 3mins... plus a little extra for not pushing enough as well
Second overall, about 3 mins down. Some positives, but still not fit enough after longer uphills
