Sunday's local B-meet is being titled the National Capital Orienteering
Championships.
There will be awards for males and females in five classes:
Advanced, Senior, Adventure, Explorer and Novice.
The Advanced class will run on a long advanced course of 7.2km
The Senior class will run on a shorter advanced course of 5.1km
The Adventure class will run on an intermediate difficulty course of
5.1km
The Explorer class will run on a shorter intermediate difficulty course
of 3.3km
The Novice class will run on a novice difficulty course of about 2.4km
There are no age restrictions. Normal B-meet fees are in effect.
Registration will be at the west side of Westcliffe Park on Seyton Drive
in Bells Corners. The parking lot in the park is rather small but there
is a nearby school with a larger lot. There is also on-street parking.
To get to the park from the corner of Robertson Road and Moodie Drive,
head south on Moodie, continuing on to Richmond Road and turn right on
Seyton drive. (There are traffic lights on the corner). On Seyton, take
the third left onto Seyton Drive (yes, the corner of Seyton and Seyton)
and the park is on your right just past the school.
Registration opens, as usual at 10AM with Starts from 10:30 to 11:30.
Awards will be at about 12:30.
