2/16 update:
Snow conditions are good enough at CNS to offer three regular Ski O courses, beginner, Intermediate and advanced. People are also welcome to do the courses on foot or with snowshoes. People on foot run on the side of the ski trails.

The club will not be providing food for this meet because the Nordic Ski Patrol is selling vegan and regular chili with cornbread for $10 as a fundraiser. They also have cookies, hot chocolate, coffee and other treats. You can also bring your own food if you wish.

Starts are from 12-2. The fee is $5 for all.

Rochester Orienteering Club and the Cumming Nature Center will co-sponsor a “try orienteering“ event at the Cumming Nature Center near Naples, New York. Participants will receive a map with circles representing control points drawn on the the map. They will have 60 minutes to find as many control points as they can. Participants may find the controls on foot, skis or snowshoes depending on the weather conditions. No special equipment is required and compasses will be available at registration for anyone who wants to borrow one. Instruction from Rochester Orienteering Club members will be available throughout the event.

Registration and starts will be from noon to 2:00PM. The course will close at 3:00PM.
