This is the 6th annual international orienteering event in Nuuk. We have a very small event, with usually 40 - 50 runners. About half of the runners are locals, where the other half are internationals getting a 'once-in-a-lifetime experience'. We are offering first class orienteering on new maps made according to IOF standards. Even if the best at this small event is the warm contact you get to the other participants, the quality of the event and satisfaction of our guests is our highest priority. We have never had a complaint! Finally, the event is coordinated with the other large orienteering event in Greenland: Arctic Midnight Orienteering in Ilulissat (29/6 - 2/7). We strongly recommend that you go to both events for the complete Greenland Experience. (You have to fly between the towns!)

The terrain is all mountain, with very little infrastructure and hardly any pathways. What the terrain lacks in trees, it has in rocks in sted. The terrain is very open, but still offer extremely tricky orienteering tasks for the difficult courses. The openness of the terrain means, you have to concentrate not to stop and enjoy the view!

There are good nature possibilities in the area. Boat trips, kayaking (the kayak is from Greenland) and hiking. Also there is a good chance to experience the inuit culture, and heritage of Greenland. Boat trips are a bit expensive (~200 €) but highly recommended, but even a walk around town is like an outdoor adventure. One particular suggestion is to "Fish and dish". Here you go by boat to fish for natural Cod and Redfish (it is very easy!), and after you are taken to Qooqqut NUAN where it will be cooked for you. Qooqqut NUAN is a restaurant about an hours boatride from Nuuk (or a three day walk!), a very nice place to go.
