Venue / Parking: West Woods is located between Marlborough and Pewsey and will be signed off the A345 at GR SU169651. ** CAR PARKING MUST BE PREBOOKED VIA FABIAN**
Entry is via Fabian4. PLEASE CAR SHARE IF YOU CAN. There will be NO ENTRY ON THE DAY. Once we have reached the parking limit, entries will be closed so please liaise with other club members or use http://racelifts.org/ ensure spaces are filled in cars.
Terrain/Hazards: Mainly mature woodland.
Dogs - Although this area is a very popular dog walking area, there have been several reported incidents of Alabama Rot which has killed at least one dog. As a result, we advise that participants do not bring dogs to this event and make sure that kit footwear is washed or disinfected afterwards.
Maps: All course will be printed on maps at a scale of 1:10,000 with contour intervals of 5m.
Control descriptions are on the map. Loose control descriptions will be in the start lanes. White, Yellow and Orange courses will have written descriptions. Overprinted waterproof maps.
Times: Hired E-cards available from 9.30-12.00
Start Times 10.00 to 12.30. Courses close at 1430hrs.
It will be a punching start.

Courses: White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green, Short Blue, and Brown. All courses apart from White are offered to participate in the SWOA Gallopen League.

Punching: EMIT. Card hire fee £1.50 per competitor. Lost card charge £47. The event will be using Emit on all courses. To ensure correct “punching” competitors must touch the EMIT control unit correctly with their EMIT card. Competitors are encouraged to use back-up cards and to press their EMIT down onto the control unit ensure that they register a pin mark at each control. Competitors whose EMIT cards do not show that they have visited a control will only be reinstated with evidence from the back up card.
Start & Finish: The start and the finish are ~1200m (15-20mins walk) from assembly and parking area.
