"It ain't supposed to be easy"... and we're sticking to that motto for 2015. The Breakdown will be returning to Breaks Interstate Park in April with a 15 hour and 30 hour option. We have courses designed that will take you to some entirely new areas of the Jefferson National Forest and surrounding areas.

This may be one of the hardest races you've ever done. You'll climb and descend steep mountainsides in some rugged, remote terrain. Those climbs, however, will be rewarded with some spectacular views and fast downhills. Expect well over 10,000 feet of elevation gain and at least 65 miles to clear the course. Well... that's for the 15 hour version. We're cooking up a 30 hour course that we hope will challenge some of the best racers in the country, and give you a chance to do a 30 hour race that may feel more like an expedition length race.

With that said however, we fully believe that novice racers can and will love the race. If you cross the line on your own power, you will FINISH. The Breakdown is more about choosing your own adventure and pushing your limits - not about mandatory points and DNFs.
