We are trying to get live results posted at http://www.orienteering-live.com
Depending on cell coverage, we will try and keep this updated throughout the race. First start is scheduled for 2:00.

Jonas:
Working great. Thanks!
Oct 3, 2014 7:09 PM #
johncrowther:
Wow! High tech!
What do the times for the people still "On Course" represent?
Oct 3, 2014 7:12 PM #
Nikolay:
Look like the On Course times are not synced to the actual start times list. Finished people times seems to work.
Oct 3, 2014 7:33 PM #
BorisGr:
No updating on M/F21?
Oct 3, 2014 7:38 PM #
edwarddes:
On Course times are running times since their assigned start time. They should be close, and are corrected once they download. How far off are you seeing them?
Oct 3, 2014 7:41 PM #
Nikolay:
They are showing 3+ hours now for the sprint. And are not in the same order as the posted start lists
Oct 3, 2014 7:43 PM #
BorisGr:
Really? The times appear normal for me. The finished results just aren't updating very frequently.
Oct 3, 2014 7:45 PM #
Nikolay:
Oh, maybe because I am on the west coast. the website must be using the local browser/computer time :)
But the order is still incorrect. E.g. I see Eric Bone starting third to last on the live results, but in the start list from the registration site there are many people starting after him. https://orienteeringusa.org/eventregister/a31/regl...

Pink Socks:
Yeah, mine are off several hours, too. Also west coast.

Any Aussies up? What are you guys seeing?
Oct 3, 2014 7:53 PM #
Nikolay:
They no doubt see rogaine result times. What else is happening there.
Oct 3, 2014 7:57 PM #
edwarddes:
Its supposed to adjust times for your local time zone, but I guess thats not working right. I'll try and fix it tonight for the rest of the weekend.

anniemac:
It's awesome that this is available. Thanks Ed! I so wish I could be there and this will help me cheer from afar. Great job!

Is Sergei Ryzhkov US Champ?
Oct 3, 2014 8:06 PM #
Tundra/Desert:
Eric Bone and Alex Jospe are the 2014 U.S. Sprint Champions.
Oct 3, 2014 8:07 PM #
BorisGr:
Ryzhkov is listed as US-eligible on the registration list. Is that an error?
Oct 3, 2014 8:08 PM #
Wyatt:
Sergei Ryzhkov is listed as US eligible in the entries.
Oct 3, 2014 8:09 PM #
Wyatt:
He's also listed as DVOA, and I recall see his name a few seconds ahead of me in the results at Hay Creek in June... But I don't remember his story..
Oct 3, 2014 8:11 PM #
Nikolay:
Those Europeans and their stories.... ;)
Oct 3, 2014 8:19 PM #
edwarddes:
Sergei has a green card and is eligible.
Oct 3, 2014 8:20 PM #
BorisGr:
So then he is US Champ, right?
Oct 3, 2014 8:23 PM #
Wyatt:
Cool. New kid on the block... ;)
Oct 3, 2014 8:30 PM #
z-man:
I approve this!
Oct 3, 2014 8:35 PM #
Tundra/Desert:
Yes, I stand corrected. Sergei has a recent green card and is eligible. Congratulations!
Oct 3, 2014 11:31 PM #
ccsteve:
Note - there is no feedback from the starters area to the finish. If a competitor misses their slot, and starts some minutes later at the next opening, it looks like they are taking a very long time until they actually finish.

This data is just coming out of OE, not updated from the OLynx data, so I don't know anything about real start times until they download. Tomorrow we are going to try and get the olynxlive system to work also, but cell coverage is very limited in Letchworth, so no guarantees.
Oct 4, 2014 12:56 AM #
vmeyer:
There actually was start data relayed from the start to the arena via O-Lynx radios for most starters. Unfortunately, my personal hotspot wasn't playing nice like, so I could only display the live data in the arena.

As Ed mentions, internet is spotty in Letchworth, and coverage may prove problematic. We'll give it a try though.

DarthBalter:
New kid on a block is a current member of Belorussian national team
Won green card lottery earlier this year
He is a sprint specialist with best result - second place at EOC in elite m21

The start list for todays Long is online now. Start times should be counting down to the correct time regardless of the timezone you are in. Could someone on the west coast verify that it is working correctly?
Oct 4, 2014 2:12 PM #
cwalker:
I am too lazy to look up the actual start times but if the first F 21 start is at 11:00 eastern time, then it's working.
Oct 4, 2014 2:23 PM #
edwarddes:
Awesome. Thats correct.
Oct 4, 2014 2:31 PM #
bubo:
Looks OK from this end too - if the time difference should be 6 hrs to Sweden...
Oct 4, 2014 2:31 PM #
stever:
Impressive looking field for M45+...
Oct 4, 2014 4:24 PM #
Rosstopher:
Go Boris! woo!
Oct 4, 2014 5:00 PM #
Samantha:
The running times for the men make me think maybe live results aren't working?
Oct 4, 2014 5:02 PM #
Rosstopher:
Looks like a victory for Alex in F21. Still no finishers showing up on the live results for the men's class.
Oct 4, 2014 5:11 PM #
edwarddes:
Finishers are only coming in batches as a bus shows up. Still no men, and Alex is the only F21 in yet.
Oct 4, 2014 5:18 PM #
Jonas:
I think you can expect results (from download) 25-50min after they finish(?)
Oct 4, 2014 5:24 PM #
Samantha:
Ah, ha, I see. Thanks!
Oct 4, 2014 7:33 PM #
peggyd:
Really cool. Thanks to the fine folks who are making this happen!
Oct 5, 2014 2:08 AM #
z-man:
Yes, live results rock! Thanks for making them happen!
Oct 6, 2014 1:06 PM #
DarthBalter:
It was a pleasure to to work with Ed this weekend. Special thanks to Valerie and Sandy as results crew chiefs.
