I'll be interested in your next review too! I can't seem to have any shoe last. I've just been in the trap of buying cheap ones for rail-trail type running. Although my trail shoe Saucony Peregrine are holding up well at 200 miles.

My orienteering shoes lasted 125 miles and are completely destroyed... no refund (was offered 15% off). Debating spending that $130 on a new pair or risking destroying my trail shoe. Off-trail is rough on shoes.

I think the 'best' way to go for shoes is to stay ahead of the game by knowing exactly what you want at all times, and have a way to see when it's on sale. I have that for fishing gear (actually ANY Cabela's product) ... need to get it together for other things too. Web scraping is cool. ;)

That said, I'm lazy. I just need to not worry about the $130 vs $85. While it's significantly more percentage-wise, it's not a whole lot absolutely. My feet are worth the luxury!

Good luck with your quest.
