Among other things:

"Competitors who do not use the SI e-stick indicated in the start program will be disqualified"

I advise everybody to read the program carefully!!

Surely they dont mean to be that harsh, shouldn't it be something like

"Competitors who do not inform the Organisers, pry to there run, that they are using a different SI e-stick then the one indicated in the start program, will be disqualified"

Is it really that much hassle if someone is using a different stick? Generally only happens if somebody forgets there's and borrows one. Most systems it'd be pretty easy to change. Fair enough it'd be annoying if everyone used a different stick but that seems pretty unlikely. Disqualification would seem pretty harsh.

Maybe the wording is a bit harsh! If we get advised prior to the run (but not at the Start!), then we will be able to accommodate changes.

What a great couple of days! Wagga Wagga put on two seriously good events; I really enjoyed the granite test.

Thanks all for the kind comments. I will pass on to the club. Will get splits up tomorrow night and Route Gadget should also be available in a day or so: sorry, a tad weary tonight!

Nice, how'd you manage that?

You can the first day were the map doesnt quite fit, I was a lot smoother than most of that GPS track :)

Shep:
Yeah great weekend of orienteering, thanks :)

I ran down the track on the little spur on the approach to 14 on Saturday - my GPS doesn't agree!

Dave & Shep, I had to juggle the map to get the best fit overall for gps - locally the fit was fine but there is a bit of distortion for the full map - nothing an OCAD "rubbersheet" adjustment wouldn't fix.

Dave, I extracted the gpx file from your AP log & loaded it straight into Routegadget without any adjustments, to check I had the map in the right location - I think RG snaps to the controls based on elapsed time.
