The 2014 COCs deserve a lot of positive media coverage. It was a great event, just a great event.
We are working hard in Ottawa to create the same positive experience for our NAOC visitors. Arnprior is no Whistler but you will find the residents extremely friendly and the terrain a bit less hilly.
By the way: Any idea when or if the COC courses will be put on Route Gadget? No hurry; you guys deserve a good rest.

We are trying to get the courses into RouteGadget but we are having problems importing the IOF XML result files from MeOS.

Does anyone have any experience about how to do this?

Send me the XML results file, map file, and course XML and I'll see if I can tell what the issue is.

Where is the discussion chain where we heap praise on the organizers? Because I want to. Iit was a pretty neat event; the venue and weather couldn't be beat. Even my non-O spouse was pretty stoked to "orienteer" in Whistler - so that must be a home run!

Tremendous. Simply tremendous.

One note to any non-M21Es - the North end of Black Magic was the best terrain of the weekend. You'll just have to come again when they let you in there!

Looking forward to a training camp there at some point; and sprint maps of the Upper Village and Whistler Creekside!

Yep! My girlfriend has been orienteering for only 1.5 years (approximately the time we've been together...) and I caught her looking up info on 2015 COC's!

Thanks to all the organizers. Great maps, courses and atmosphere! I actually think all the maps were pretty perfect for their disciplines.

Fabulous terrain, great organization, and friendly volunteers. What more could you ask. And I never heard of any problems, despite hearing at least one bear sighting story from an early starter on course 7. Thank you!

The good part of Creekside is a bit small for a sprint map really. But there are some interesting stuff that could probably be used for "novelty" events.

I just had a look at the routegadgets and realised large and interesting parts of both the middle and long maps weren't used at all. More events certainly look possible. :)
