Yup, just finishing mechanical overhaul/ restore. Strong family connections to the West Midlands UK car industry of yesteryear, so with with birth year it was.... Inevitable! Mind you my daughters know that I have spent their inheritance on pure hedonism.

Thanks
As a note for posterity, my mother, a Swiss National (and eventual
UK citizen) was allowed entry into England in the post war period, worked at Lickey Hills Birmingham which was the top of the test drive route that every A-H undertook before being released from the factory. Small world!

Don't believe i saw such fanciness in Carlisle?

I just sold (a few hours ago) our red '95 Saab convertible. We had the car 16 years this November. Sad to see it go but the time had come. The youngster who bought it came with his dad in another '95 red convertible (Ford). He's going to drive the car to Montana next week (student there). Had never driven manual which the car is.

A little coincidence but nothing fancy!

Hi Bob, you're right a MN acquisition to offset the winter blahs. Had to remember how to drive a stick shift with no syncro in 1st! Anyhow this thing has a truck engine that pulls from stop in 3rd. Miss Daisy quickly adjusted to the fanciness and gets driven of an evening around the lake :)

Toenails on fancy leather?...no way! You put Miss D on a pedestal:). I recall my '76 Dodge van, front bucket seats, featuring Duke as in 'dog is my copilot'. Somewhere, not long after that, I got buggered by dogs scratching or crumpling whatever was there (that I failed to remove) - or on any subsequent front seat for same reasons. And that was progress towards the back seat & eventual purchase of station wagons where they are happy enuf, out of sight out of mind, last I knew:). Well, still drool on the rear windows.

Certainly not although they'd like to! Better come clean and fess up to the fact that Miss Daisy (as in driving ....) is in actuality Miss Ros ;) Only thing to add is that she doesn't like the windshield down in "racing" position as it musses with the hair and goggles are de rigeur!
