Sharon Crawford in 4th place after Day 1 of PreO! The results are quite tight, as they had to reduce the course to only 12 controls due to poor trail conditions from yesterday's rain. Sharon had an almost perfect day, missing only one of the timed controls. I only missed two controls, but that is enough to drop about halfway down the field. Day 2 will be critical in sorting things out.

Great work! Read the contours and avoid the ones that draw you in. Finding the "little" stone wall instead of just the big one says that you are thinking!

After a protest, control 10 has been thrown out, so we've moved slightly down the results list. Link to detailed results and maps.

Now the game is on! You can't have a Trail-O champs without a good protest!

IOF split Trail-O into TempO and PreO. Is the next event ProO? You have five minutes to argue why the selected answer to a control is wrong. Best argument, as determined by a group of rhetoric teachers, wins. Add subjective judging to orienteering.

Well, our second day didn't go so well. Sharon dropped quite a bit as well as Clare. More info on the blog - see link above.
