That's really cool! I'll send the link to a friend who lives there.

I have a question. Why not include a metric distance scale? Or at least yards and meters? If it were me, I'd probably emphasize the difficulties of the English units with ticks labeled as 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 mile, and also as 220, 440, and 880 yards, but then have a nice clean metric progression to 1km.

Also---Sorry! I don't mean to criticize. I've been going to OKC on and off for 20 years, and I've never walked downtown except for Bricktown and that new little river mall.

We could. The original intent for these was to be neighborhood scavenger hunts that were based in urban orienteering, and not the other way around. Everyone who's ever attended one understands miles, and you're the first person to ever ask, "Dude, where's my metric?"

If it were me...

Exactly. 'Hood Hunts are only as good as the volunteer hosts, so if you ever wanted to host one, you could do all of those "if it were me..." suggestions. (Seriously, you could host... we've had them now in MO, KS, and OK).

The OKC one, for example, came out of the blue, from an email. I gave the host some example map and questions, and he did the most of the rest. He wanted the checkpoint circles to be yellow, so they are yellow. He was fine with just a screenshot of Google Maps. I just added the text and QR code.

Yards in Aus don't have any standard length but they do tend to hold sheep.
