It's like my log, but not my log!

Yeah, when the uniforms came out, I didn't mind the shirt so much, but when paired with red shorts and red socks, it's just too much uninterrupted red. I think white shorts would look really sharp here, and if you wanted to go with more blue, then white shorts with royal socks.

Also, here's a decent collection of the 32 teams.

Overall, I really like the Nike kits (esp. France), but I think the USA's red ones are the weakest Nike effort.

Yeah surprisingly Nike's seem to generally be the cleanest - they managed to not Oregonify the classic looks of Brazil, England, the Netherlands, France, Croatia, etc. Love love love France home, especially the little collar. So French.

Others I really like: Netherlands home (although they look best in all Oranje or orange shirt/white shorts/baby blue socks), Australia away, Cameroon home/Ghana away (my favorites of the Pumas), the cheetah on the Iran shirts, Belgium away. South Korea home is sweet. I also enjoy the fact that no one is entirely sure what Bosnia-Herzegovina's kits will look like.

Not a fan of the slimming stripes on most of the Puma shirts, or Costa Rica's swoopy thing. Spain away is not Spanish enough, neither Germany kit is German enough. Cristiano Ronaldo apparently stole the first-choice USA kit and we had to go with the popsicle thing instead.

Generally agree with everything you wrote.

I don't see how Brazil will get to wear their 2nd and 3rd kits, being the host and all... seems gratuitous to have an all black kit that you won't wear in the WC.

I love the Croatia kits, but everybody probably already knew that about me. Their home kit has the white shorts and blue socks I wish USA would have.

I hate the stupid angled sleeve stripes of Adidas (Mexico home, Colombia away, Russia away, several MLS kits). The Mexico away has unbalanced logos. Mexico home looks really unique except for the sleeves.

The Cameroon home is the best of the Pumas. The away is decent, too.

Spain needs some blue in there. Although the red and monochrome gold as defending champs is kinda cool. But WTF on their away? These guys aren't the Sounders!

Netherlands, oh so yummy. I'd wear that. The blue one is really nice, too, but everybody should know that I'm a sucker for a diamond pattern (that is also a chevron pattern!).

Chile, uh, no. Blah.

Australia's are really nice, too. Nike should do their rugby kits, and I'd totally wear that!

Colombia, uh no. Blah.

Greece. I could get lost in that blue. So nice.

Ivory Coast. Meh. It's without the obnoxious elements of several other Puma designs, and it has some tribal stuff.

Japan: Unique, but the logos and flags are severely unbalanced up there, especially if you can't see the sunburst watermark pattern, which I think may get lost. And WTF with the neon? I can't wait to see Spain play Japan in the 1% chance that'll happen.

Uruguay. Again, another lame Puma design.

Costa Rica! 2002 called and wants the stupid swooshy shapes back!

England. There's only so much you can do with all white. Despite loving the other Nike designs, I'm actually kinda meh about this pair.

Italy, I expected more from you. Armani, this is not.

Switzerland. Puma, just stop, ok. Switzerland, if you want to look good, call Roger. He knows how to dress well.

Ecuador. Can you through those in the time machine with Costa Rica's? Thanks!

France. Good lord, I want these. Now. I'm so glad these guys squeezed into the competition.

Honduras. Apparently, a high school team is playing in the World Cup.

Argentina. One of Adidas' better efforts, but I'm not really feeling it, for some reason. Too many conflicting patterns, I think. Vertical chest stripes + horizontal sleeve stripes + diagonal accent stripes. The away kit looks like a poorer version of what Nike did for the Netherlands and Portugal.

B&H. Their Legea contract ends in a few days, which is why we haven't seen their Adidas kits yet.

Iran. Cheetah is cool, otherwise, really boring.

Nigeria. From the generic Adidas bin?

Germany. The homes feel a bit too off for me, and a retro red & black kit from Germany makes me think of Nazis, sadly. Shoulda stuck with the green.

Portugal. Not as refined as the other Nikes, but still classy. The aways look really, really nice, but blue for Portugal?

Ghana. I love the red ones! A nice pair of Puma kits!

USA. One is on the meh side of classy. The other on the way-too-much-red-to-be-classy side of classy.

Belgium. The black one is pretty sweet, but those crowns are giant on the other two!

Algeria. Tic-tac-toe, three logos in a row!

Russia. Hey, it's like Spain! Or like space!

South Korea. Beautiful. You know what Nike's secret is? Collars. Brazil, Australia, Greece, Netherlands, England, USA, Korea, Portugal... they all have perfect collars. Each one is perfect for each team.

I'm glad that someone who actually knows something about design agrees with me on most of these!
