Hi,

I've been using SportIdent to time mountain bike enduro events. Originally I created results in excel after downloading the cards data via Si config.

I am trying to switch to a better system and have picked MeOS as it seems simple and well laid out plus it actually works on the old Windows laptop I have available. I tried for ages to get something working on my Mac laptop but have abandon that (I can get 4mila to read in entries but not scan punch data off cards).

Our events consist of timed stages with untimed liaisons.

control 11 punch time - start punch time= Stage 1
control 21 punch time - control 20 punch time = Stage 2
finish time - control 30 punch time = Stage 3

Stage 1 time + Stage 2 + Stage 3 = Total time

Total time by class determines over all placing.

Is anyone able to help wiht how to set this up in MeOS?

Thanks

I tried something similar to this recently in MeOS and at that time ignoring the time between two controls was not supported. The work around I employed was to set a minimum time for the control that represented each untimed section that was much larger than the time it would take. Thus if you set control 20 to be a minimum time of 2hr and control 30 to be a minimum time of 2hr the results will be sorted in the proper order and you will just need to manually delete 4 hours from the total time.

To set a minimum time on a control, add a course and then go into the control tab and adjust the value from there.

Maybe do what Rosstopher suggests but don't go crazy on the minimum times and explain it to the competitors. So if its a 15 minute easy ride, tell everyone that they will be given a time of 20 minutes to do it and make it so. That means that you don't have to do any fix-up.

There was a small bug when you used two minimum-time sections in an event - it may be fixed now, that was two releases ago. Make sure you test it :).
We did something similar for a foot-O and it worked really well having explained to people in advance. Several times.

(The MEOS source is open-source - if you have a handy C++ programmer, you could get them to write the "don't time this leg functionality")

Does the "no timing" setting for Status on the Controls tab not do what you want?

I think that's on the Classes tab.

When you import or add courses, the Controls Tab is created.

Cool - very sorry, I'm with the plot now. Its exactly what they need.

Very nice.
