Also: I got your WINNERS! text 12 minutes before the Street Scramble started, and I jumped up, yelled, high-fived Gina, and noticed that there weren't any orienteers in the room we were in.
So I ran downstairs, expecting to see a bunch of orienteers, and the only ones I saw were the Campbells, so I ran over to them, but they were busy route-planning like everyone else, but I told them anyway. Tori asked who was on the team, and when I told her, her response was something like, "Well, duh, they won."
And then I realized that I still had to finish up the route, eat some gel, take clothes back to the car, so that was it. About 45 minutes into the SS, we ran into Nikolay going the opposite direction, and we told him that "Cascade won the relay!" But when you're running in opposite directions along a busy street, apparently that sentence is too long. I think he did understand us, though, with a belated "Woo!"
(And then Gina gave me a hard time because I told Nikolay during a Street Scramble about Cascade winning, and 5 years ago, I didn't tell Nikolay during the Street Scramble that Gina and I got engaged.)
