Discussion: Garmin Help Please

So I got a new PC at work and had to reinstall all the Garmin stuff (Communicator and Garmin Express) and now Attackpoint will not see the data, it sees everything that is on the stick from before the computer switch but not after. I know it is uploading because I can see it on Garmin Connect but it is not sharing with Attackpoint. Any suggestions? I have installed Communicator twice and have tried different browsers (Firefox and IE).

I believe that Garmin Express doesn't provide any data to Communicator. You need to also install ANT Agent for that.

Garmin is pushing Express as a replacement for ANT Agent, but it's not clear whether they intend to address this problem.

What if you have a newer Garmin that doesn't use the ANT agent? How can we get data to the Communicator?

This doesn't apply to those Garmins. The 110, 210, 220, 620 show up as removable drives when you plug them in by USB. Communicator can access those directly (which is why it occasionally gets confused by normal removable drives).

And technically you don't even need Communicator in this case, because you can import the files directly by finding them on the removable drive.
