What makes compost good? Don't be sad about your compost... that's not okay :)

I don't think it's quite fully decomposed and it's made of pretty much just leaves. I did a soil test and it's massively lacking in nutrients. Bah! It cost three times as much as my amazeballs compost from last year, but they flattened that heap to do some extra construction at the High School it was from.
