I always forget about this on the FCW map. Luckily we had some trail running from 1-2 which tipped me off.

I ran the blue course in the 1982 US Championships so I should have known that it was a 1:15000 map. But I have been having problems with my pacing and just worked out some new numbers for the woods and just figured I got it all wrong! I didn't realize it was 1:15000 until I saw Rob Wilkison walking back to the finish. He mentioned it to me and asked didn't you always end up short of the control! And yes I did end short of each control!!!

You guys give me hope. :)
Tom, I had trail running to #2 also but I didn't listen to that little voice that said 'this seems too long, but it isn't '.
