I can't seem to find any notes on the conditions of the forest. Temperature at event site looks to be around freezing. Is there snow on the ground? Are the woods muddy when temp goes above freezing? What's the overall picture?

The race details page has been updated and includes course lengths.

There is no snow cover at present. We had some light snow yesterday and north facing slopes are left with a dusting to maybe a centimeter, but that will melt in a day or two. Ground is generally soft but not mucky, although there are a few wet spots, especially in flatter areas. If we get rain in the days immediately before the event, things could be pretty slippery, but the last couple days have been pretty nice in the forest. Because of the very late spring, visibility in the forest is exceptional.

The registrar grudgingly agreed to another 24 hour extension, so you can still register up until midnight tonight (Wednesday). This will be the last extension - after that you will need to contact the event director or registrar to plead your case, pay a suitable bribe, and make extra contributions to one of the OUSA teams or the Joel Fund.

Last Thursday, the Princess Theater in Oxford experienced a small electrical fire. We now know that they will NOT be able to re-open by Friday April 4, therefore, we will be unable to do the Divergent movie Friday night in Oxford. Those of you who pre-paid for movie tickets will receive a refund.

If you want to see Divergent on your own, you should be able to find it in Hamilton, Ohio (20 minutes southeast) or Richmond, Indiana (40 minutes north). However, because of higher prices and longer driving distance, we are not going to have a group package with one of these theaters.
