This is coming late, but, you know, better late than never. For those who have the time and interest, I will be putting together a chanceful opportunity to do 5 consecutive days of racing/training in the Laramie Range, dates 28 July thru 1 Aug, which will serve as a passible Convention warmup. For anyone who dares take it all on, you'll get to sample at least 10 different maps, and try beating that--you would need some kind of stick, at least. Snow in the summer is an ever-present risk in SE Wyoming, but at least there will be no poison oak, and that's for sure. It will be lots of orienteering and not much more, but the best way to get better at orienteering is to do lots of orienteering. And all at a bargain price (though we will be forced to levy a surcharge for those insisting on wearing adventure racer pants; not even Britney or Paris wear those when they go orienteering.) Details are skimpy so far, but more will come soon and will be posted here: http://www.geocities.com/rmocer/index.htm

Saludos!

Is this the real SF? Haven't had a sighting in a while. This Laramie Daze sounds like a very tasty opportunity, and one I'll have to consider. I think Paris may be wearing adventure racer pants now, though, at least for the next couple of weeks.

I can warranty that there will be cows. Anything else will be fate and for that the Guarantees will have to come from the Gods themselves, and especially the God of Wind, with whom Laramie is well familiar.

As an example, it is snowing at this very moment, and for that we have the God of Snow to thank, and I could have never guaranteed it.

is it legal to milk the cows? this is a serious inquiry!
(and I already know you have to find the kind with udders)
