We got some of the rain today too (from T.S. Barry), though it was mostly light showers until late afternoon. Of course, tomorrow we expect to get heavier rain, much like what you probably got today.

My glasses fogged up today too. Oh to be young again (and able to see). :-)

I forgot to mention that I put the contact in my left eye, for the Beer Chase part of my day, which I have just for these situations. I have never bonded too well with contacts otherwise.

It worked great, except for the whole "afraid I am going to get poked in the eye" thing going on throughout.

On another note, I commented when I got home that I went through all of my dry shirts - four, which included the new QOC uniform shirt which was delivered today. Roger was unsympathetic since it WAS raining when I left the house. Never did I imagine that I would need long clothes after the 90 of yesterday.

Are there online images of the new QOC jersey anywhere? I like seeing cool O-jerseys that are not of the nylon pajamas variety... ;-)

There is the prototype on the QOC web page. Hopefully, there are no pictures of us finishing in our wet shirts yesterday...

Yes, they look pretty sharp.

As do the DVOA Jukola special edition shirts. Yours will be in the mail this afternoon.

Good choice to take lenses. After this year bear chase I will think about them again, although I never got well with them. BTW, great beer splits!

My contact lenses travel around in my O' bag since I only use one about 2-3 times at orienteering events when it rains.
I add the contact lens exam onto my regular exam every year - it costs me about $40 more, so probably not very cost effective...

I just love doing well on the "beer split" - the only reason really to have epunching at the beer chase. And I didn't pick up my cup until after I punched in, unlike some others. :)
