Discussion: Climb error

The climb estimate was probably based on the (mistaken) assumption that the contour interval was 5 meters. And it was printed incorrect that way too on the maps. The contour interval for this map is actually 2.5m.

Yes that would explain it. I didn't read it at the time but I also didn't think the contours were 5m. Given that, my 75m GPS measurement was not that far off the course setter estimate: 190m was really 95m. Thanks!
