Discussion: M83

I thought you might appreciate this. Brad Whitmore, president of SVO, is an astronomer here at STScI. He studies star clusters in interacting galaxies, among other things. One of his prime targets is the galaxy M83. They've started a crowdsourcing experiment to see if they can statistically classify clusters in Hubble Space Telescope observations of M83.

In the context of NYC, a naked link to 'M83' made me guess 'Manhattan bus route.'

Brad told me today that they tried to contact the band about some background music for the website but never got a reply. Do they think they *own* the sky? Hee hee :)
