You mean: 6. Andy Shields, WATERLOO (representing the old SOD). I thought he was a sprinter, that's a great result for him.

Yep, poor timing on the coffee, but will be in touch.

Andy flirted briefly with orienteering..like 6-7 years ago together with his younger brother Gavin won the first urban adv race in Waterloo ( not too big of a race- however ..) they did couple of more trainings. great skiers.. and like 5 secs from the second place.. wow

What we need in TBay is someone to update our O-map from the 70's and I would love to incorporate more O into our ski training. Andy and I have talked a lot about how much fun it would be to do some O for training.

I've talked to Riku and Juha about it. I'm sure a good couple of mappers could make some Sprint maps quickly of the Lakehead area to start you out on. What's the name of the bigger forested area?

In my Orienteering Ontario role, I recently received an e-mail from a Riku Metsaranta interested in getting a map of Laurentian. Same person? According to the OOA Map Registry, TOC has a map from 10 years ago.

That would be the one and only RTM from AP.

forestbeach!

Laurentian is an awesome area for orienteering but really needs a good set of LiDAR data to make it properly. That data must be available given the mining resources in the region.

I've contemplated organizing an annual Raid des Voyageurs in Sudbury.

Centennial Park is the larger forested area.
