This is probably my list. It's really too bad that we have to choose between Whistler/Kamloops and Laramie/Colorado. Selfishly, I wish that Laramie was the week in between Colorado and WRC in South Dakota, because that makes geographic and chronological sense. Then I could go Whistler-Kamloops-Laramie-South Dakota. But alas.

March 21-23 - Team Trials
Aug. 2-4 - Canadian Champs
Aug. 8-10 - Western Canadian Champs
Aug. 15-16 - World Rogaining Champs
Dec. 12-14 - Sprint the Golden Gate

---
April 26-27 - Relay Champs

Never been yet. There's usually been some sort of conflict before, or it's been paired with Night-O, which I don't enjoy and doesn't seem worth the trip. Also, as a slow 0-pointer, I'm not a very lucrative teammate. I'd probably only go if OK has 5 others going and needs a 6th. It's pretty certain that 3 are going, but I don't know about 2 others.

Oct. 10-13 - North American Champs

I so badly want to go to this, but Gina has a friend's wedding in DC that same weekend. Schedule-wise, it may be possible to catch an early Sunday non-stop flight DC-Ottawa, which means that we'd get to race the Long, attend the banquet, race the Sprint, and spectate the Relay. But we'd miss the opening ceremonies, the Middle race, and the arena atmosphere for the Middle and Long. I just don't know if it's worth it to half-ass NAOC, especially when we could spend more time in DC with friends.

May 30-June 1 - Boggs Mountain
Sept. 27-28 - O' in the Oaks

Maybe. Depends what our schedule looks like in May. Depends on how my body feels in September after a monster of an August. Speaking of which, I should probably start training...

Don't know if you've ever done any "real" orienteering in the Bay Area, I assume you have at some point. If not I would highly recommend it. I always want to go to their A-meets because I really like the terrain - Pacheco, Tahoe, etc. It's like a more hilly version of Fishtrap, and things that remind me of Fishtrap make me happy.

I've done Boggs twice, Pacheco once, Little Truckee Summit once, Burton Creek once, sprints at Northstar twice... the first time I flew for an O-meet was to the Spooner Lake meet in 2006. I think one other one...

I really really really liked Little Truckee Summit. I actually kinda like all of the terrain, except that it's really steep, and being from Kansas lazy, I don't like climbing things.

It's really a scheduling budget thing. Back in 2006-2009, I went to CA all the time. But now that I'm married with a whole bunch of in-laws here with cabins and stuff, there isn't the time to go to everything!
