lots of them do. I think most of the drivers are ones where the parents drive to work and drop their kids off on the way. Many of those parents could probably walk, though, so your point stands.

There are crossing guards at all the big ones, which I'm sure means a decent number walk. The one I crossed at was really dangerous though, no lights (which is, I'm sure, why people drive to that particular one) and cars flying round through gaps. Which means you wouldn't want to let your kids walk there, and the whole thing becomes a bit self perpetuating. I was quite astonished though.

Lollipop Ladies.
We have a new one outside Sciennes and she will happily stand in the road for minutes on end while kids cross and the traffic backs up - brilliant a one-woman traffic calming campaign

We have them at the major junctions "Crossing Guards." But not at this minor junction, which is I guess why people drive to that one and not the other ones. Avoiding the safety measure to make the previously safe junction more dangerous. Grrr.

What street? There's one on Highland and ones on Canner (though the one halfway up is pretty useless, and cars sometimes drive around her to get past...)

Looking at my heart rate it was Highland, so perhaps someone was off sick that day. There was definitely one at Canner.
