I've done that twice now. Depending where it is on the foot and providing you didn't hit anything important I had a lot of success getting back to running quickly by cutting a hole in the inserts of my shoe to put less pressure on the sore spot. Even putting two inserts in the shoe and cutting out both gives you a big area of space under the wound so even when you foot strikes the ground the pressure on the injury is not too bad.

yeh nice indeed. i've done something along those lines for a heel spur before ecmo. i think it will be a while until i'm up to that this time but, still getting around on crutches, and its still too swollen to put on a shoe... i'm really hoping i didn't "hit anything important"!

I've done some analysis Shep and ascertained that this year you've also been the father of the most number of children and finished building the most number of houses since your stress fracture in 2000. These may have impacted your ability to get our running.

Sorry to hear about the stick - sounds nasty. Hope it's nothing serious.

Yes good point neito... I also had the most knee operations and spent the most time watching T20 cricket since 2000.
