I am doing a class project, a digital media product, and I have decided to make a resource/research website for maps, mapping, and cartography.

Please share any sites or tools you think worthy of inclusion, thanks!

Here is a link to annotated canoeing maps of Algonquin Park in Ontario.

The cartographer, Jeff, has made the maps over the past few years based on previous canoe route maps, historic maps, and his own and other's field checking in the park. We came across the maps online a few years ago just before a week-long back country trip and have found them invaluable over a number of trips. By coincidence, on the first trip using Jeff's map we happened to meet him and his father at a portage and recognized him by the picture on his website. A couple of years later, in a completely different part of the park, we met them again! This is a long-term project and the maps keep getting better.
