57 participants, attendance is up. Team M & M from the Bay Area Orienteering Club / Cambridge Sports Union cleared the 6 hour course, and Victoria Stevens from Caltech / Los Angeles Orienteering Club nabbed two-thirds of the 1200 possible points in only 3 hrs. Mark your calendar: Saturday, February 22nd at Valley of Fire near Las Vegas, 4 hr and 8 hr courses
This will be terraloco’s second event at Valley of Fire, which features far-out rock formations and bold hues.
Rangers have given verbal okay, and when the application is filed an official announcement and web page will come out.
Group camping will be available on site. Contact me if you have any questions in the meantime.

For a moment, I thought this was was @ Red Rock park in Vegas - which I just ran through last weekend. I don't think I've every been to Valley of Fire. Looks awesome.

Yes, it's the "other" Red Rock. The one in Vegas isn't allowing events.
