I need a right handed thumb compass by Friday for Sprint the Golden Gate. Anyone have any ideas?

Borrow a baseplate compass, or see if one of the U.S. O Vendors can ship one to you or via someone in CA by then.

You can flip the capsule in a Moscow compass to switch it from L to R. Just be sure the retaining wire is seated correctly.

winkepp, call o-store.ca (1-866-844-7687) if you're interested in buying one and willing to pay for shipping. We can ship it to you via Fedex by the end of the week.

Do you need a compass for a sprint event (bush or urban)? Last time I used a compass in an urban sprint, I read the north lines on our map changeover upside down so it didn't do me any good.

...this probably means that you needed the compass (but chose not to look at it...)

I thought all the north lines in australia were upside down. If you use a right handed compass on your left hand, does that fix the problem?

No it means I had the map upside down when I aligned the north lines with the compass, rather than looking at the features on the map to tell where I was headed.
