Discussion: What did you get?

It'll be a Prius V (wagon style hybrid). Less powerful (only 98 hp) but more comfortable than the CR-V, Rav 4, or Subarus (Forester or Outback). (once they find one to our specs)

Twice the gas mileage of the Pilot! I'm looking forward to the $35 fill-ups vs the $60-70 ones we do now for less distance (Pilot has a 20 gallon tank).

That's what I have! I *loooove" my Prius V.
And for mileage -- I can drive to Harriman without having to fill up, and get halfway home again, too. I sometimes go weeks between fill-ups.

What color did you get?

Well, they have to get one from another dealer; my first choice is the sea glass pearl (light green), and second is the lighter blue, and I'd be happy with either one. (The one on the lot that we test drove was white, and I didn't want white.)

What color is yours?

Mine is the dark gray. I agree, didn't want white, and I didn't really want a light color either. Nor black. Our next door neighbors at the time had the darker blue one, and I didn't like that blue as much as my old Saturn's navy. I'm happy with the gray.
I had to get mine sent from a different dealer as well as the place I went didn't have a gray in stock.
I'm sure you're getting a 2014 (mine is a 2012 I think), so maybe the color options are different. I don't remember the sea glass but maybe it was too light for me so I didn't give it much thought.

I think Sea Glass was a new color in 2013. Here's an image from some dealer in CO :-) In some pics it looks a bit greenish-blue, but on the light side. Pretty.

I've never had a gray car. Something about its being a non-"color" doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.

We recently got a Prius V - the Honda Insight wasn't big enough for the dogs. Ours is bright red, because that's what they had - it was the last of last year's model on the lot.

What color did you end up getting?

We got my first choice, the sea glass green. Very pretty shade. Pics tomorrow if I remember (it was dark this afternoon by the time I thought of it).

Nice! I do like that color. As arthurd says, we have one too. I love it - my only two complaints are the infernal beeping when you put it in reverse (which apparently you can have the dealer turn off) and the position of the plastic radial pieces in the steering wheel. I usually rest my hands at 5 and 7 o'clock on the wheel, and that's where the plastic parts come down. Other than that, it's great!

I will say that the mpg has dropped off a bit since it's gotten colder...
