It is time to THINK SNOW! Registration is now open for the 2014 Salomon Snowshoe Raid, race #2 of 3 in the 2013-2014 Salomon Dontgetlost Adventure Running Series. This race was voted 2012 Top Snowshoe Race by GetOutThere Magazine. If that isn't reason enough to find a team mate and enter this 3 hour snowshoe adventure run then just watch this video for many more.

It's snowshoe weather already in Collingwood so things are looking good for this year's Salomon Snowshoe Raid. This is a snowshoe race for teams of two in The Blue Mountains' stunning forests and parklands.

Event Director Bob Miller says, "Expect many new twists in this year's event, one being a remote, on-course map pick-up detailing bonus checkpoints! Planning your route beforehand won't be as easy and making decisions on-the-fly will be even more crucial."

Many participants make this an excuse to spend a family weekend playing in the snow at Blue Mountain with downhill and XC skiing and tubing nearby. With the recent snow (reports of 40cm in the Collingwood area already) hotels are starting to fill up already for weekends in January.
