50 km on no long run training and then to start support crewing, is really impressive. I guess the kids didn't exactly bring you & Craig breakfast in bed the next day, either!

I think my base fitness held me through doing the 50k's OK but I suspect the lack of recent adaptive stresses from doing some long runs, particularly over hills meant I've got a lot sorer from it. Glad I did it though.
