Nice race today. I just looked at the course splits and with over 50 people on Brown - X you were 6th! You held it together in very challenging terrain very well. Congrats.

Sounds like it was TOUGH! But not for you.

Thanks, Mary Jo--I think I surprised myself, but I was determined not to be brain-dead like in Canada on Saturday. Once I got used to the yellow rides routes fell into place.

From 5-6, did you go right or left around the marsh? Charlie went right and had a fast split (I went left and the AP analysis says I have a minute error there though I was doing exactly what I planned, so probably right was faster).

Erin, it was very tricky! Charlie posted his routes on our course if you want to take a look. The green courses went even farther south of Brown both days, but generally the same areas otherwise.

You did great, Janet, and have every right to feel proud!

BTW, Peter took the exact same route you did, so that must've been the correct route :-). I also went left but climbed a little and then hopped from ride to ride.

On 5-6 I went left. Originally, I was going to just follow the marsh, but with the yellow rides so close by, I popped out and used them instead, cutting down to the northern tip of the marsh and across to the next one. i had thought that when I got to the big boulder of the ride that I'd cut through the medium green, but it was so thick I decided to stay on the yellow. Worked out fine.

Thanks for the link to the Titles over the years. It was a trip down memory lane to see the winners, the elite champion names, and the locations of the various events.

I feel like I need to time a plank now. :)

Nicely done Janet!
And ... yeah, sounds like there is a plank challenge we must all all work toward. I am no good at planks, so I'll have to get working.
