The Budget for Orienteering USA has been posted to the Boardnet and will be on the Orienteering USA website under Board Documents within 24 hours of this post. These documents will also be available on the Clubnet.
The initial budget had more than $50,000 spending than income. The Finance Committee worked on the budget and pared down some of the expenses. The documents that will be posted on the Orienteering USA website give the budget lines and reasons for the changes in the requests for money. Please remember that the Finance Committee only makes a recommendation to the Board and the Board can increase or decrease budget lines as they feel appropriate. Board discussions will take place on the Boardnet and if you want to get those emails, you can request to be on the list. You will not be able to post on the boardnet (unless you are a Board Member) but you can follow the discussion.
If you have comments or questions, you can address them to the Finance Committee Chair, Lou Pataki, Glen Schorr or Peter Goodwin.
A few questions have been raised about the budget but this thread has been quiet. I am posting to get the budget thread a bit higher in the list so that people see it. Comment on this site if you want or send emails directly to me, Glen Schorr or Lou Pataki.
Could be that some of us can't open the thing. Any chance of getting the Budget document in something that could be read by Adobe Reader 9.5 or earlier?
Some of us are not particularly Johnny-on-the-spot with our software updates. And what you have posted requires the latest Flash software....plus a new operating system...and a new computer.
Valid suggestion. You can't open on some mobile devices, either. Not sure what the .pdf portfolio is necessary for?
I will fix the pdf on Monday when I get home. I thought the spreadsheet would be easier to read in the portfolio format, but will create a separate document.
You can also send an email to pgwolfe at gmail dot com.
I will send the documents to you. They were sent out on the clubnet as well as the boardnet but I can send them direct.
I posted the three docs in the .pdf portfolio as separate .pdf files
here.
Thank you to the finance committee and its chair for doing good work on a difficult task.
Seconded. And also thank you eddie, for making such a fine presentation accessible to all.
Thanks, Eddie, and apologies for posting the other format...
Individual PDFs now posted on the
linked page from OUSA website (in addition to the portfolio).
