We plan to have activities at the Boulder Dash for juniors. More specific information with times and places will follow, but I wanted to make sure you are aware of these now. And perhaps you can help out with some of them!

Erin asks all JST and JDT members (and others welcome also!) to meet with him to discuss race strategy before going out on your course on Saturday and Sunday. Meeting times to be announced.

After your race, look for Erin; we will be doing course reviews with all juniors. As always, JST members are asked to be on the lookout for younger orienteers to work with them.

We'll have sandwich makings for juniors available. (Volunteer to help with that?)

We'd like to have one of those fun little maze epunch races, perhaps as a team fundraiser. Contact me or Erin if you want to help set that up.

Deb Humiston has offered to prepare a fun game after lunch at the meet site.

In the evening, I recommend signing up for the banquet. Juniors can sit together. We may also have a junior activity prior to the banquet; stay tuned.

Saturday evening I will be staying with some of the juniors either at the event headquarters hotel or at the Manchester Econo Lodge right next door, which Guy tells me is less expensive.

On Friday night, I'll probably be staying in Cambridge. Anyone coming for the event that would be interested in staying quite cheap in Cambridge on Friday night, possibly on our neighbor's floor, please let me know! I'll provide breakfast.

Huge thanks to Deb Humiston, whose enthusiasm is infectious.

The Manchester Econolodge is not right next door to the HQ hotel (Comfort Inn, near airport) -- it is 3 miles away. But that also means it is 3 miles closer to the event site, and to the dinner location.

Not only is it closer, but it is $19/night (pre-tax) less for 2 queen beds (with OUSA Choice discount, #00228560). No pool -- but so what?

Actually, the Manchester Econolodge is much closer than 3 miles from the Comfort Inn, which is not near the airport but offers 24/7 airport transport. Unfortunately the reviews for the Econolodge are not very positive, so I'd suggest going on Tripadvisor.com to check them out before you book. The price is good, though. For other options, there are lots of campsites available at the Twin Oaks Campground near the event site (see info in the flyer posted on the UNO website at www.upnoor.org). As of yestereday, they still had a cabin available too. The Comfort Inn (HQ) is now completely full.
