Discussion: Southwark Park course

Was dissappointed with this course when I saw it - v twisty. I always thought they'd use both parts of Southwark park and have a longer loop around the edge, but I presume crossing the access road through the middle of the park ruled that out.

I know the course isn't perfect and has a few tight bends but, given what's available I think its a very decent route. Ideally it would a two-lap run using the north / north-western section of the park; however, as you say, even through the road really isn't that busy I dare say you simply wouldn't be allowed to have a route which crossed it. Looking forward to having a go at it myself at some point in October.
