Just in time to replace mine which is not working for some reason. No wait there is a reason; it's a Garmin.

50 meter water proofing is not enough for you tRicky. It also needs to be able to survive anvils falling on top of it from great heights such as a 60m cliff, deep sea excursions with submarines and also high energy explosions, bush fires and electrical burns. If it still works after all of that 'testing' then it is tRicky-Proof.

The only way I'd go 50m underwater is if it's raining.

Sounds like Wile E Coyote needs to be tRicky's crash test dummy (dumbie?)

Do all these new Garmins allow you to know how far you have been since the last time you punched?

ShotRat:
Yes, if you press the lap button.

I wonder if you could use the onboard accellerometer to work out how long it's been since you punched someone.

Maybe a reason to buy another with the demise of ANT.

Juffy:
ANT is demised?

tRicky:
Wouldn't surprise me. They have to find new ways to make us upgrade our existing units.

From what I read, ANT is still there for heart rate straps and bike wheel and cadence sensors and stuff like that, but the watches now use wifi for uploading data to your computer or online services. Using ANT for large file transfers was a problem.

Juffy:
Oh....so ANT is not so much "dead" as "being used for what it was intended for", rather than Garmin trying to shove large amounts of data through a protocol designed for low-power small-packet transfers. :)

I love a good low-power small-packet transfer in the morning.

No need to talk yourself down mate, Ceri's never had any complaints that we've heard about.

I think the 620 will also have a usb option for data transfer.
