Great big apologies to the registrants! As you may know, Google Checkout, our preferred registration option, was obsoleted by Google this year and taken off as an option in Event Register. And... I forgot to check the PayPal enabled box! and only figured that out when paper checks started to roll in.
So, now you can check out via PayPal, or if you prefer, I can invoice you via Checkout, which is still available through November. The latter option is not automatic; you should email me. Both options are vastly preferred by us to handling checks, mostly because PayPal and Google keep records many years deep, but also for convenience; we're sure it's more convenient for you, too, and carries no extra cost!
The Sprint Tournament is filling nicely and is now 37% full. The event center hotel is bookable, the discount can be obtained only via phone.
Alas, I cannot attend one of my favorite events of the year. I will be absent with a heavy heart.
We'll miss you, Clem! see you in 2014, hopefully, at mostly new venues.
If I have to miss this event, for something non-orienteering related, NOLA is a good excuse.
I guess conference organizers figured it was safe to put up ASH against AGU.
Are the two also in conflict in 2014?
I am not sure. Technically, they are not completely in conflict this year, and the enterprising atmospheric scientist/hematologist could figure out how to do both. I cannot.
