I like seeing this complaint on September 1st. Mother Nature says, 'sheesh, give me a chance to get into it!'
Most of August is pretty wonderful in these parts anyway.
I have just been looking forward to this month for a very long time! Not just because of the weather :)
Actually September can be quite humid, lots of water vapor, but not really high temps= high relative humidity.
That's partly because the seasonal cycle of ocean temperatures lags a few weeks behind the land, so sea surface temperatures are still near their summer maximum in early September, meaning that there's a ready source of moisture if the air mass is coming from that direction.
But the nights should be getting cooler.
Looks like it's going to break sometime tonight, thank goodness. Still disgusting outside today.
Meanwhile, in southeastern Australia, September is currently doing a reasonable impersonation of December.
Ah, the heat broke at about 5pm yesterday. It's beautiful now!
