The US team is just hours from heading to Sweden! I'm not sure if we'll have wifi in the barracks, but I'll post updates as often as I'm able.
Great! Looking forward to hearing about it.
For the men, it's Kevin Culberg, Jeremy DeBons, Josh Wang, Grant Staats, Liam Collins, and Joseph Burkhead. The women's team is Maiya Anderson, Hannah Culberg, and myself.
That is excellent. I hope all goes well and you folks bring home lots of medals. I will be applying next year for the Austrian CISM.
Good hunting! Enjoy the fun.
Awesome, more information
here. Doesn't look like there are start lists posted yet, though. We will be cheering for you! Go USA!
Start lists should be determined this afternoon. I think the first starts tomorrow are at 0900.
Model event went awesome for us this morning. We got a lot of time to feel out the terrain, features, etc and the feeling is pretty upbeat. Bryandavis01 you totally should apply its been a blast even just this first day.
Should we be looking for a new hair style for the CURLbergs?
Looking forward to following your progress! Run smart!
I heard there may be some more cuts coming for next year. Hopefully, they do not cut any sports programs out. We support you fully here from Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Go for the Gold.

Orienteering should have a good case for staying... low cost and direct military application.
Thanks for the support all!
While you are there soak up the military history of the region. There used to be two regiments stationed in Eksjo.
I attended a dinner in the former mess of one of the regiments.
Their last battle honour was awarded during the time of Napoleon, before any Canadian regiment got their first battle honour.
Really deep startlist and a lot of ringers. Good luck to you guys, it should be awesome!
Good courses today, and no real surprises- Matthias Kyburz won the men's race, and Tatiana Riabkina for the women. Full results should be posted shortly.
Results now available
here.
Wow, nicely done Hannah! woo!
Indeed, pretty awesome results Hannah!
Interesting to see several South American countries including Brazil which seemed to have good results. I wonder if Orienteering could be part of the Pan Am games at some point?
Maybe not the Pan Am Games but perhaps we should be extending invitations to the South American federations to send teams to compete in next year's NAOC. This with a view to growing an Orienteering Championship of the Americas. It could be held odd years in conjunction with the SAOC and even years NAOC.
(Brazil usually beats Canada and the US at WOC)
Awesome Hannah! Splits
here, page 24 show a pretty clean course and good speed. Nice!
Lots of great competition today at the relay. Once again, the courses were tough and the maps were fantastic. The US women came in 10th overall, and final results should be posted this evening.
