Mr Wonderful:
I've never eaten so many as I did at the Chilson training course. I can imagine it's at least as bad out there. The pokey stuff out in Pinckney/Waterloo can be really fierce.

If the U of M sprint falls through, I think Huron Meadows could support a forested sprint course. I messed around with it once and it looked interesting.

Great minds think alike, that's exactly what I was thinking! Huron Meadows is a good backup plan. Although I'm thinking things will work out for UM, submitted my safety plan to ROTC yesterday, we're hoping to submit land use request by the end of the week. I've been looking at the imagery and the start of Igors map and it looks like it will be an awesome sprint! The only thing I worry about is having enough e punches...

you mean SI-cards? We can probably get more.

yeah, SI cards. I'm just not sure how many people to plan for on this. I know one time at an event a year or two ago my wife tried to rent one but had to wait for one to come back in from the next person finishing, so maybe we have more now? I think what I need to do is just try to get a better feel for how many people may come from the ROTC det's to determine whether we need to get more SI cards or not. But I probably won't get that rough number until at least 2 or 3 weeks into the fall semester (end of Sept).

With a sprint, it seems like the longest time would be 30-40 ish, so with a one minute interval you wouldn't use them all and they'd be back quickly to restock.

We had 43 epunch rental sticks last time I counted in April, and 31 controls (#31 to #61) plus all the clear/check/start/finish boxes. We can get more sticks if we expect more people, I am sure.

Lew took over purchasing in the spring. Compasses would be another thing, if we can get them cheap.

Yeah, the compasses actually seem pretty slim last time I opened that box, more so than SI cards.

Rates seem reasonable for renting punches from OUSA.
