And the penultimate day climbs up through Feclaz and the 2011 WOC areas. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

There goes another bunch of productivity at work over the next month.

"Work productivity" is an unwanted term to be used on AP - this is our sacred haven of unproductivity...

That was the most productive hour I've spent today at work, creating my TDF team!

Ever since I retired the day I look forward to most is Monday because that is the day we see the increase in fresh posts to Attack Point. Saturday and Sunday usually mean a drought of AP activity.
Thankfully Canada's Sunday evening is Australia's Monday morning so the drought is a short one.

Managed to salvage some points out of today's carnage from a couple of my cheapies.

Me too...one of my "shots in the dark" earned me 15 points. The leading contestant is already up to 241 points after the first stage! But it is a lot more fun watching the TV coverage with some "money" on the line.

So, I've always liked following the TdF, and it's not really because of the athletes, since I'm put off by all of the doping and stuff. But, I've been thinking about this recently because of watching WOC and watching TdF... I think I like watching TdF because of the production. The scenic vistas and villages, the elevation profiles, the wealth of timing information, etc. I guess I like watching sports that are both panoramic and data driven.
