How nice of you to stomp in the contour lines in the open areas. Are they as visible at ground level as they are from the aerial shot??
Or are those the attack badger trails that they've made to give them that little extra edge as they come in from the side to cut you off?

Those contours were plowed out by mule during the Great Depression...the Dustbowlers didn't have anything better to do. Round Mountain would be world class even without having the contours mostly marked on the ground. That's just the extra special touch that makes it stand out ahead of the pack.
