were you in the back streets between weber/gravois/mckenzie/55? I've experienced that first hand and would agree w your assessment.

I recognize those names! :) Yes, that sounds about right
Mostly I accomplished my goal of staying off the major roadways and staying on my bike. I did walk bike from dead-end Hamburg to dead-end Hamburg - not bad except for newly downed tree. I now have a better sense of what is feasible and probably could find a reasonable route.
The street names were great: Big Chief, Little Chief, Papoose, Warrior, Pinto Palomino, and Cisco right around the corner from Pancho.
